The Everywhere of Her - an educational music drama with book and lyrics by Velina Hasu Houston and music by Carla Lucero, was commissioned and produced by The Ebell of Los Angeles and premiered March 2023 at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre under the direction of Judy Louise Johnson and music direction of Mercedes Juan Musotto. It starred Maria Elena Altany, I-Chin (Betty) Feinblatt and Regan Carrington, with cellist Helen Z. Altenbach and Mercedes Juan Musotto accompanying on piano.

Carla Lucero, cast and creative team interviewed on the set of Lucero’s opera, Las Tres Mujeres de Jerusalén (The Three Women of Jerusalem) that premiered with LA Opera at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in March 2022. This opera is the first in the cycle of five operas, “Song of LA”, which will be featured during the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles!
